This Privacy Policy explains how Virtuo, developed and operated by Amethyst XR, processes information when you use the Virtuo application on Meta Horizon devices.
1. Information processed by Virtuo
Virtuo does not require users to create a separate Amethyst XR account and does not independently collect information such as your name, postal address, phone number, or payment-card number.
Virtuo uses Meta Horizon platform features necessary to provide the application and its subscription functionality. When these features are used, Virtuo may receive or process information made available by Meta Horizon relating to the user's entitlement and subscription.
This information may include:
- subscription status, such as active, cancelled, or expired;
- the subscription product or entitlement associated with the user;
- subscription period and related billing-status information made available by Meta Horizon;
- platform identifiers when required by Meta Horizon to associate an entitlement or subscription with the correct user.
2. How subscription information is used
Virtuo processes subscription and entitlement information only to determine whether a user has an active entitlement to access subscription-based features of Virtuo and to provide the corresponding functionality.
This information is not used by Amethyst XR for advertising, profiling, or sale to third parties.
3. Payments
Purchases and subscriptions for Virtuo are processed through the Meta Horizon platform. Amethyst XR does not receive or store users' full payment-card information. Payment processing is handled by Meta according to Meta's applicable terms and privacy policies.
4. Device features and mixed reality
Virtuo may use Meta Quest device features such as hand tracking, headset and controller tracking, and mixed reality passthrough to provide its core functionality.
Amethyst XR does not receive or store camera imagery from mixed reality passthrough. Device and tracking processing used to provide these features is handled through the Meta Quest device and platform.
5. Data storage and sharing
Amethyst XR does not maintain a separate user-account database for Virtuo and does not sell Meta Horizon user data.
Information obtained through Meta Horizon platform features is used only as necessary to provide and verify the functionality requested by the user, including subscription access.
6. Data deletion requests
Users may request deletion of any user data associated with Virtuo that is held or controlled by Amethyst XR.
To submit a deletion request, send an email to marcopianomusic91@gmail.com with the subject line "Virtuo Data Deletion Request".
Please include enough information to allow us to identify the data associated with the request. We will process valid deletion requests without undue delay, subject to any data that must be retained where required by applicable law.
Data controlled directly by Meta, including Meta account information and payment information, must be managed through Meta's own account and privacy tools because Amethyst XR does not control that data.
7. Data retention
Amethyst XR retains user data received through Meta Horizon only for as long as necessary to provide the relevant Virtuo functionality or as required by applicable law. Data that is no longer necessary for these purposes will be deleted where it is under the control of Amethyst XR.
8. Children
Virtuo is not directed to children under the age of 13.
9. Changes to this Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy may be updated as Virtuo evolves or as its use of Meta Horizon platform features changes. Updates will be published on this page and the "Last updated" date will be revised accordingly.
